Students in Mrs. Dennis' ninth grade literature classes have been working on a unit entitled Graffitti: Art or Crime? Students were asked to create their own graffiti or a work of art that represents who they are. The students were graded on creativity, technical skills and expression. They were told to be creative and have fun!

As Mr. Smith's AP Lang students prepare to read John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, they were placed in groups and tasked with synthesizing sources on topics such as the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, and migrant labor in the 1930s. Each group was asked to provide 4-5 different types of sources (i.e., articles, podcasts, videos, etc.) and then explain what those sources have to say about their topics. Upon finishing their research, each group will present their findings to the rest of the class.
