Due to severe weather and the probability of adverse driving conditions in the morning, all Thomaston-Upson Schools and Central Office will be closed on Wednesday, January 22. We will continue to monitor the weather and will release information about Thursday’s plans as soon as possible.

The TU School System has been monitoring weather reports and gathering the information necessary to make an informed decision about this week’s predicted storms. In order to ensure the safety of students and staff, all Thomaston-Upson Schools and central office will be closed Tuesday, January 21. We will release information about Wednesday’s plans on Tuesday afternoon after assessing the weather situation. Please know that the Thomaston-Upson School System will always put safety first when making decisions that affect our students and staff.

Parents - Please take a moment to complete the Georgia School Climate Survey for ULPS.
Formerly known as the Georgia Student Health Surveys, these surveys provide our school improvement team with valuable data when evaluating our school climate and making decisions for improvement. This survey may take about 10 minutes but we would greatly appreciate your feedback!

Second grade spent several weeks working on their "All About Me" Google slide presentation in computer CAMP. Students used abcya.com to create their own birthday cake, ice cream, pizza, house, car, bookbag and silly face. They learned how to insert these images into their slide, how to change the background and font, and how to create slide transitions and object animations. These are screenshots of some of the projects. We are so proud of their work!

During the CAMP rotation around Thanksgiving, 1st and 2nd grade students created an infographic called "Thankful Pie." This infographic shows 6 things they are thankful for. Here are a couple examples of their great work!

Gobble Gobble Gobble...we are off to deliver Thanksgiving crafts to our friends at Harborview Health System, Providence Healthcare, and Riverside Nursing Center. Happy Thanksgiving! We love you all! ❤️

Extra CAMP is always fun when it involves gardening, lizards, and turkeys!

Deputy Tim had special friends help patrol the halls at ULPS!

Daisy had fun reading with special friends. #royalbehavior

The first teacher coins were spent! This year we started a new and exciting activity for our teachers. Just as our students have the chance to earn Royal Coins for exhibiting behaviors that are above and beyond so will our teachers! A menu of fun items was created for teachers.
Mrs. Bartlett and Mrs. B. Barrow used their coins to have a pizza party for their class! Everyone enjoyed their sweet treat!

We had a little fun today at ULPS! Today was "Undercover Spirit Day". All faculty and staff members came to school wearing all black. We had a few students ask questions and were a bit confused! It was fun! Thank you ULPS for making this happen during this fun-filled week before Thanksgiving Break! We have a great staff at ULPS! Another "Undercover Spirit Day" soon to come and who will notice?
